The Magic Mist Story
Magic Mist Carpet Cleaning first launched in the mining town of Moura, about two hours from Rockhampton. Back then, it was a one-person operation run by John Hill, who quickly earned a reputation for being reliable, friendly and thorough. As demand grew, John began training his son, David, sharing everything he knew about the industry and the work itself.
David took to the work quickly, learning the trade hands-on until he was managing the business alongside his father. Today, Magic Mist Carpet Cleaning is based in Rockhampton, with David leading the day-to-day operations.
Although semi-retired, John still keeps in touch with clients and occasionally services the neighbouring towns that supported the business in its early years. Their family-based approach and strong work ethic continue to guide the business today.
