Magic Mist- Our Story

Magic Mist Carpet Cleaning began its roots in the mining town of Moura, which is located approximately 2 hours from Rockhampton.  At this time it was a operated solely by John Hill.  John quickly realized that many people in the town were seeking a reliable, friendly and trustworthy carpet cleaning service. As the business was growing John began training his son David about all aspects of the business and the carpet cleaning and restoration industry.

David absorbed the knowledge from his father quickly and in no time he was managing the business together with John.  From here, word quickly spread throughout neighbouring towns such as Theodore, Biloela, Banana, Mount Morgan etc that Magic Mist Carpet Cleaning was a quality solution for residential and commercial carpet cleaning.

These days, Magic Mist Carpet Cleaning is now based in Rockhampton, with David operating the business for this region. John has now semi retired from the industry however still enjoys catching up and servicing clients from the original neighbouring towns that helped the business grow from the beginning.

Meet the Team

David Hill
Operations Manager

David is responsible for the daily operations and client management throughout Rockhampton for Magic Mist.  His enthusiasm, leadership and big smile  is contagious.    

Kerrie Stevens
Office Manager

Kerrie is the administration manager for Magic Mist and she also does a fantastic job of keeping the team organised and streamlined.

John Hill
Original Founder - Semi Retired

John has semi-retired and now is a cosultant to Magic Mist Carpet Cleaning.  Occasionally you might see John turning up at job sites to give the boys a “few helpful tips and tricks.”.

Gary Somerfield
Supervisor

Gary is the latest addition to the team, and he brings with him a wealth of life experiences.  His “Can Do”attitude and motivational skills make him a perfect part of the Magic Mist team.
